In modern lifestyles, stress is inevitable and affects all systems of the body.
Rest is difficult to define because every individual’s method to take rest differs. Rest may be defined as any behavior aimed at detaching from the surrounding for 5 to 30 minutes once or twice a day. Some will feel rested in walking, dancing, singing, hearing music, sitting in a safe and comfortable zone, and breathing deeply for a few minutes.
Rest is a behavior that will increase mental and Physical health. Your daily behaviors help you to recover and recharge yourself.
Physical and mental health is associated with proper rest. After a rest period, your productivity increases. You can think and work in a better way.
Without proper rest, some somatic problem occurs. In sleep, individuals experience sensory detachment from their surroundings. Sleep is critical. If you fail to take sleep for a long time, your body will force you to sleep. Sleep is different from rest. Sleep provides rest-one of the main benefits.
Sleep is an essential quality of the body. And one of the top gifts of God to human beings.
Sleep affects every system of our body. Sleep influences cognitive functions, other brain functions, the immune system, etc. It helps us to recover and recharge our systems.
Rest is essential for concentration and learning. Conversely, long-term rest deprivation causes an inability to concentrate, depression, indigestion, etc.
To increase productivity and quality of work, offices are imposing five days a week of work and two days rest. In offices and factories, there are lunch and tea breaks to relax. A short nap during these breaks is very refreshing.
The benefit of daily rest are:-
1. Improves mood.
2. Reduces stress and anxiety.
3. Reduce is metabolic demand of the body.
4. Reduces workload on the cardiovascular system.
5. Increases power of concentration and ability to work efficiently.
6. Increases feel-good hormones level—e.g., Endorphins, Dopamine, etc.
7. Improve health as a whole.
Therefore start to take rest and make a habit. Find a resting, relaxing technique suitable for you and stick to your program. Do it when you need it during your work. However, a consistent time to rest is beneficial and yields better results.
The relaxing techniques usually practiced are:- meditation, yoga, walking, listening to music, reading a book, taking a bath, etc.
For Example – 1) Mediation every morning.
2) Walking in the morning.
3) Relaxing bath before bed.
You can practice -waking rest for 5-10 minutes per day is beneficial.

Making rest allows the brain to consider and process whatever arises spontaneously.
It can include reflection on experience planning for the future. This rest is initiated by relaxing and letting thoughts come up as they arise, not forcing any idea, direction, or judgment. Let them flow. Just watch the waves of thoughts flowing with closed eyes.
You will feel the joy of being awake and doing absolutely nothing. This facilitates mental health, mental rejuvenation, and emotion regulation.
Rest, sleep, exercise, diet, and body weight are crucial for health and healthy beings.
